Kicking off book 4
Yesterday was the day I started drafting my fourth (!!) book, the second in my upcoming trilogy. “That means the first book is done, Britt!” You’re absolutely right. I will announce more about that very soon, so follow me on social media or subscribe to my newsletter (at the bottom of this post).
The beginning is always the hardest part, by far. Maybe it’s a mental block that I experience, which could very much be the case, seeing as most writers find editing the hardest part (and I enjoy that). However, the moral of the story: There was nothing on the page yet, and I was not 100% sure how the story was going to unfold (and I both despise + love the unknown and uncertainty).
I just needed to bite the fucking bullet.
So, that’s what I did. Even though it took some time to get into the flow of writing, and even though yesterday ended up being an emotionally taxing day, I got the first words, sentences, and paragraphs down on the page! Yay.
It happened with a few slight bumps in the road, and the actual writing was spread out over the day in small increments—but who cares? All that matters is that I wrote. And I am actually going to continue right now with the next bit of the story.
Until next time!
Lots of Love,
Britt
