Edinburgh CityTrip 2020
In today’s post I’m going to take you through my trip the Edinburgh these last couple of days. Every photo was made with my phone, so it’s a real time travel diary. For those of you who don’t know; Edinburgh is my all time favorite city in the world and I couldn’t be happier to have gone back this year and have the opportunity to show this gorgeous city to my mom!
Day 1
The first day we arrived in the afternoon. It’s a short flight from Amsterdam to Edinburgh, so we were in this city within a matter of hours. Even though I was visiting this city for the 3rd time already, I had never visited the Waterstones here before. So, that’s where we went:

This Waterstones was once again amazingly beautiful – but so is every Waterstones I’ve visited so far.

My Waterstones haul; An Waterstones Edinburgh tote bag, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott & The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern.
We also made a beautiful stroll through the city at sundown.

My (always) happy mom <3
Day 2
We started day 2 by heading out of the door towards the Elephant house to grab ourselves a nice breakfast – and also to show my mom the birthplace of Harry Potter ;). The weather was the best on this day.

Such a beautiful view of Edinburgh Castle at the Elephant house!

Exploring Edinburgh.

Catching a glance of Edinburgh Castle!

Day 3
The last full day we had in Edinburgh was super relaxing – and exciting (!!). We headed out the door and strolled through the city once again – but because it was raining a lot, we had to take shelter at the National museum of Scotland. After exploring the museum for some time, we headed off to the tattoo shop…

Harry Potter book 1, the Scots edition.

I got my second tattoo (both from Edinburgh), at Studio XIII on the Royal mile (amazing artist and service!!). I went for my favorite quote in the whole world – which you can find hidden somewhere on my website ;). But, more on this tattoo soon in a separate post – because I’m really happy with it!

And of course, we left Edinburgh (at the airport) with a BANG!
Lots of Love,
Britt
