New York city
Hello everyone! I’ m going to take you through my trip to New York – but NOT Bookcon (see some previews on my instagram), those days will have separate posts! So stay tuned for those, because they were one of the best days of my life – FOR REAL.
Alright, let’s start.

The flight
We flew with KLM, which always feels like a little adventure on itself. We had a tv screen with movies, tv-series and games. They also had a trivia game, and if you know me, you know I love any and every trivia game. So, I had to establish myself in the top 10 (duh) – and I made it to number 3, after a lot of concentration and determination.

The Hotel
We were located near Wall Street (financial district), which meant there were a lot of business people around. It was a very interesting experience, seeing New York from this perspective. I loved how clean and safe the neighborhood felt, and loved the hotel (and breakfast).

The New York public library
Being a Book lover, I of course wanted to go by the famous public library and see this reading room. If I’d live in New York, I would most definitely be here a LOT. The chill vibe was amazing.

Magnolia Bakery’s Banana pudding
Ahhmmmm, YES. So, if you ever find yourself in New York city – go to Magnolia bakery. I heard many great things about their banana pudding before, but holy sh*t, it really surpassed my expectations!

Intrepid museum
this is the museum of sea, air & space. I always love a good space museum (because who does not?!) and it was SO much fun! We got to hear to story about this amazing boat – the intrepid – which was much cooler than I’d expected. We also got to experience what it felt like to sit in a space capsule and got to see a SPACE SHUTTLE. SO. COOL.

New York Yankees
We saw the game against the Boston Red socks. It was a really fun atmosphere, and we even saw a homerun.

Times Square by nightfall
Not much more to say here, right?

The Phantom of the Opera
At the majestic theatre on broadway. I loved witnessing a musical broadway-style. And it was an amazing opera to see, especially masquerade (if you’ve seen it, you’ll know)!

Central park
We spent the last day entirely in Central Park, which was amazing. Even the weather agreed with us!
Lots of Love,
Britt
